LOL

That line comes out of the mouth of someone who is unwilling to give to charity because his taxes are supposed to pay for services that are completely inadequate. How it relates to this issue, I couldn't say, unless you are acknowledging that FEMA's organization, as it has been inherited by the current administration, is completely inadequate. It does take time to restore a gutted organization.

Lee said that infrastructure was not an issue because we can't affect the design of trees. Infrastructure is an issue because we have the technology to make trees irrelevant in case of ice. Underground utilities is one way, and yes, I know they're expensive. To install. The other way is to cut down all the trees near the power lines, which is less expensive but still requires a little thought and the outlay of some cash to pay the people taking down the trees.

It was OK to say that New Orleans should have been better prepared for the storm of the century, which I heard a lot of from the people who supported the previous administration. You don't seem to think that applying a similar standard to a fairly regular event -- ice storms are not as rare as a hurricane the likes of Katrina -- is fair.

By the way: "FEMA Gets Decent Marks for Its Ice Storm Response".
