I never believed once that Iran didn't want the bomb. They'd be stupid not to want one. Have you noticed the common denominator for countries we invade is that they do not possess them? My contention was always that, if they did get one, they couldn't use it and it would probably make them less of a threat.

History has shown that countries that acquire nuclear weapons, even those we consider rogue regimes and scary, seem to understand that with the empowerment comes this giant target painted on them as well should any be used. Do you truly believe that a major war between India and Pakistan wouldn't have occurred by now had they not both possessed nukes? Let's be real here. The Cold War was never between us and Vietnam or North Korea or any of the places where we clashed in 3rd World countries "stopping the flow of communism". It was clearly between us and the Russians and yet neither side directly attacked one another's homeland. It's a no-brainer why not.

Your main fear has always been stated that some country like Iran is going to build a bomb and funnel it to some terrorist organization and yet I've read a number of articles from experts in nuclear proliferation that have stated that the technology now exists to guarantee that, in the event a nuke fell into rogue hands and was set off, the source of that weapon could be traced down exclusively to the country of origin. The other glaring fact is that it takes a huge expenditure, probably billions of dollars of a country's wealth just to create a single bomb. Iran might want to help prop up Hamas with some low level military and financial support but giving away a huge percent of their GDP for an outcome that could go very badly for them doesn't exactly seem like a likely move.

Here you are once again blustering about Iran and yet you have never stated what you want to do about it. Do you want to invade? Send in special forces to whack their leaders? Let Israel do the dirty work and become even more despised in the area? Come on pal, put up or shut up. All you're doing is whining here with absolutely no special insights or facts to back up your contention and no solutions - as usual.

Iran will get the bomb eventually. You tell me how it would play out if they used their newly acquired missile technology to lob the fucker at an American city or Israel. I just don't see it working out real well for them.
