The people in Washington--last year and this year--have no frigging idea what they're doing and are sitting in the spinning plane pushing buttons and pulling levers at random.
That, and Democrats grabbing for double handfuls of the loot while Americans are still too stunned to realize that the vault is being emptied. Too damn many Republicans, too. Something like 40 percent of the earmarks in the last spending bill (the second one, not the first one) were from Republicans.
You really still think this spending is about saving the economy? Why am I getting the impression of "WHAT mortgage crisis?" in all this activity?
