Bush tried tax cuts twice and both failed. Stimulous by government has been an accepted way to goose the economy for quite some time. I prefer tax cuts, but they haven't been working. However, tax cuts for stimulous that are not temporary have proven to be budgetary disasters and not to trickle down yet that didn't prevent the Republicans from promoting it over and over.
