An aside
There are lots of good reasons for nuclear power, but using it to continue an unsustainable consumerist lifestyle based on waste is not one of them.
If there is abundant energy, from nuclear, fusion, or any other source, it isn't unsustainable. I have trouble with the word "consumerist." I know it's a derogatory term, but it's a weird one, if you look at human history. It's like there's something wrong with prosperity and abundance. Is there?
It's been a while since I posted this old link.
This is related to the "Earth Hour" thing if you think about it.
