I am impressed with the good faith effort on the part of the Soviets to provide their citizens with health care, housing and a job. Period.
Your implication that with that I also approved of the human rights abuses is not only erroneous, but a cheap shot unworthy of you, or polite debate.
I don't approve of Soviet human rights abuses, Saddam's human rights abuses or George W. Bush's human rights abuses and I don't believe any such approval can be read into what I did say. You're straining too hard.
