If we could move worlds, I vouch to move Earth and Venus back from the sun. And while we are at it, we could speed up Venus’ rotation and make Mercury its moon.
On this scale of engineering, I think it could be easier to build a shell around Venus. It doesn’t have to be a complete sphere. It could be open on the north and south poles.
Perhaps it could be made of something like carbon fibers (We need to do something with all that carbon in Venus’ atmosphere). Sunlight could be collected on the day side. Some would pass though this rotating shell to provide daylight, while the rest generates power.
Perhaps fiber glass could channel the sunlight from the outside of the shell to the inside. This way the intensity, time and location of the sunlight could be controlled to mimic a 24 hour day on the Earth.

How about Venus?

- How would we move Mars?

- Weird.
- There is a way....to move an entire planet
- Create a black hole just behind Mars which would slow its orbital velocity and act as a gravitational tether
- Mars has no magnetosphere
- How about Venus?
- re: How would we move Mars?
- Might not work because any atmosphere released by heat would soon be lost
- Might not be necessary
- Why bother?
