Moving it closer though

does accomplish one major thing no matter if the terraforming works or we stay indoors. The trip there is excessively long and resource intensive. What's the cost per pound right now to send something to the surface? Has to be in the millions.

How marvelous would it be for the trip there to be just a few weeks or days and to have the visible features of Mars in our night sky without a telescope.
