If we countenance the use of undue force because somebody is "mean", we're in for a lot more trouble that we bargain for.

She was obnoxious, but presented no threat.

Tazers are dangerous.

Do we want our police to use dangerous force to teach manners? Who decides what are acceptable manners?

Do we want a police officer to say that he is justified in using force because a citizen dares him to?
