Reality - Conservatives don't want uninsured to have health care. Period.
The only thing which would satisfy Conservatives is to withdraw some of the access they already have.
Therefore anything which is going to be done is going to be over the loud, vociferous objections of those who promoted huge tax reductions for the very wealthy.
(The country, in my opinion, has passed the point of no return. The growing disparity between the "haves" and the "shut out of the system" is self-perpetuating, and will eventually lead to the US being a banana republic and then a revolution. The only other option is the rapid conversion to a primarily socialist economy. All of this is due to the mismanagement and greed of capitalism.)
