I'm not excusing the sexual abuse in the slightest. And I can think of far, far worse examples of molestation. From my time military and as a counselor, I have heard of many, many similar cases of touching. At first I was as shocked as anyone, being raised Roman Catholic and rather strictly. Clearly sexual abuse. And I can't think of anyone who appreciated it or thought they'd been scarred. At least they didn't admit it.

The father in this case had no excuse for what he did. If it had been a daughter who was penetrated, he'd have a lot stronger case. But that's not what happened.

And now, with attorney's fees, bond or bail, possible jail time, sympathy for the perp, plus an almost sure loss of one hell of a lot of money in a civil action, all the stress on his family including the victim son, the guy has taken a sad situation and turned it tragic.

As well as enriched the perp. And keep him out of jail.

The kid would be better off an orphan than being parented by someone that stupid. Someone as careless with the kid's welfare as ol' Dad.
