I long ago documented with polls the leftward tilt of the educational bureaucracy, the entertainment industry, and the majority of mainstream media. If you really cared about the facts, I could find them again.
As I'm apparently compelled to explain for the thirtieth time, this tilt no more indicates a "conspiracy" any more than the culturally racist attitudes of the 1950's Deep South meant that everyone who lived down there got racist memos from hidden secret cabals or that every person in the South belonged to the KKK and went to meetings.
These groups are leftist because the systems themselves have culturally selected for that kind of thinking for many years. The whys of that can be debated from many directions. But well-known conservatives in any one of those categories stand out like a crow in a flock of white pigeons, when they aren't being actively excluded. This isn't something that only a few people can see. It's glaringly obvious to anyone who isn't avoiding the glaringly obvious.
Make a list of conservative TV news channels, conservative major newspapers, conservative Hollywood insiders. Let me know when you get to a dozen overall. Try for two dozen. The exceptionality of these categories speaks for itself.
As far as the influence is concerned, do you find it unusual at all that the solutions we are given by these groups for every serious problem in our society--economic, climate, health, education, you name it -- ALL involve turning over more power and wealth to the State, and reducing our individual freedoms and choices?
Go ahead. Find an exception.
