Just because two things are both "very big" on your sense of scale it does not mean they are comparable...
This is something you can calculate yourself... its a very basic problem...
If you were to put all of the atmosphere above California in a big box, and then add in all the energy released by the ~4 million acres that have burned in california so far over the course of the year ALL AT ONCE you would raise the temperature a small fraction of a degree.
The energy released by all of California's fires this year is comparable to what California receives in a few hours from sunlight.
The hot and dry conditions increase the likelihood and severity of fires- that is why they issue fire hazard warnings when those conditions are met.
The reason fires are getting worse year by year is that the climate is warming due to fossil fuel use by humans...
Those are the facts. Global warming is getting worse because we refuse to reduce fossil fuel emissions, and it follows that fires, floods, and hurricanes will also get worse as a result. 100's of millions to billions of people will be displaced and/or die, some areas of the planet will become uninhabitable if we stay on this path.
