My wife sometimes pops up with how I got kind of a crappy deal when I married someone who got MS.
On our 20th anniversary, I set up a "second wedding" at our church. Invited friends and loved ones, some who traveled a long way.
My wife walked slowly up to the altar, supported on my arm. When I said the vows, I rang the words "in sickness and in health" out like a bell.
Words, and promises, mean something. Those words meant something. They still do, and I'll marry her a third time, or a fourth, if she needs it.
