People are scared. They want Obama to "fix" the economy and they don't see it happening. Instead of making the economy his top priority, he's engaged in making a series of drastic changes in the role of government. These changes could have waited a year or two until we see some form of sustainable recovery- NOT rammed through in the very beginning of his term during economic turmoil.
For months there was talk of another “Great Depressionâ€. We heard that the world financial markets were on the verge of collapse. We see the national debt growing rapidly and realize there was never any intent to pay it down. Medicare will be bankrupt in 10 years and Social Security 20 years after that. Rome may not be burning but most of us can at least smell smoke. We are wondering if our leaders can.
