"judicial ploy"
Care to place a bet on this being "struck down by someone who knows a lot more about the Constitution"? Obviously you didn't read the article. Clearly there is a slippery slope here if Congress can act outside the judicial system, and the founding fathers knew enough to make it unconstitutional.
If the incidents in question by ACORN were part of a broad organizational problem then by all means let the judiciary decide it and then let Congress take appropriate action. If they were isolated incidents by employees acting outside their authority then punish the employees, not the entire organization.
