The problem in Haiti is not enough airport space. They send planes full of stuff and it takes forever to unload. They used to create airfields but I guess our modern jets can't land on dirt even if the runway was long enough. Or maybe there's no place to create a landing strip. OTOH, they've got a lot of people on the ground over there now and supplies but getting them to where they need to go is a nightmare because everything was reduced to rubble.
