You've posted your piece in the place where you should give a synopsis of what your blog is about, the theme. I.E. My rants. Then you save that and click on your newly-created blog and on the right-hand side, you click on the pencil that says "post." Once you've written your current piece, you save and exit. You may have to edit it once or twice to get your formatting correct because these blogs seem to be a little contrary. After that, you can tell how many people have read your blog because it will keep a number count for you of how many people have opened (and obviously read) your blog.

If you'll look at my blog, what you read on the page before you click on it is my theme. Then when you click on my blog, it opens up and you can read any or all the posts I've done over time. But the Theme part never changes.

I hope that makes sense. I did my blog the same way you did yours until Frank C. (bless him!) gave me a short course in how to do it.
