For a good time, go back over the past 20 years and see what happened to anyone who dared to try and rein in Medicare or other entitlements.
No Democrat has ever really tried to cut spending except for defense, and sadly, damn few Republicans have lately either.
Read the report I linked. It puts real numbers on the options for Medicare. Rhetoric about "tough solutions" is crap. How many times have we heard it from how many presidents? Obama has no intention of changing how things are done.
