Prescription brand-name drugs, particularly those used by Medicare patients, have risen 10%:
Item One.
Doctors limit Medicare sign-ups. Item Two.
I can tell you this: Whoever can fix these things will be our next President. And if he/she doesn't, he/she won't get a second term. These could well be Obama's death knell (politically speaking) because Seniors are a big voting block.
Drug companies are increasing their profits on the backs of those who can least afford it. Just as they've always done. Market economics won't fix this.
Congress can afford their little earmarks but they can't seem to pay doctors enough to see us. I'm afraid when I get to 65, my ENT will no longer see me as a patient because he cant' afford to. This whole friggin' system sucks and nobody's going to fix it. What they've done with Health Care reform is a half-assed attempt done by incompetents, and Republicans, instead of inputting anything valuable to the process, sat and carped and fiddled while Seniors got screwed.
It's time for a viable 3rd party. And I'm not talking about Teabaggers who are idiot savants of the first order. Their area of expertise is hate-mongering. Oh, I forgot that is the Republicans' area.
I had a third area of concern but I got so pissed over the first two, I forgot the third one. 🙄
