The people shut off their minds to 8 years of the Bush administration.
They shut off their minds to 911- wanting to move on. They shut off their minds to two wars, Abu Ghraib and the image of us they created for the rest of the world.

And in the end we were plunged into economic free-fall by greed.

The people wanted change and they got it. Boy did they get it.
