Dear Jody:
"...which will always come back to bite us in the ass. It isn't easy trying to keep on top of things...no one ever said it would be. Maintaining freedom from oppression of any kind is hard work...it is a right not a privilege. "
This is one of the best posts I've read from you, truly... you're absolutely right. You know, those o'ld guys that wrote The Constitution thought so too. Liberty and justice are to be fought for and they knew human nature. The scale can tip one way or the other or kept in balance.
I think that if it's kept in balance, we will all flourish. BUT, we've all known from the past that Democrats and Republicans have had their moments. That's the past and this is now. I still think that they will always have their differences, but that IS what the founding fathers knew. They knew... man can be greedy, rich or poor and man can be needy and rich, bad or good.
Hopefully, it will be kept in balance forever and I'm sure that that is not only my hope (and for my children), but for this great country of ours.
Best.
