The problem is that the healthcare system is so messed up that it is advancing the decline of the middle class. It’s not altruism to allow the government a turn a the Titanic’s helm when the market has run aground.
But Obama insured the uninsured by levying new taxes, fines, and with a mandate that may be unconstitutional. Forced altruism? In this case, you’re right.
