twitchy software

You too, eh? I haven't been sure I wasn't imagining things when posts show up in odd locations.

The thing to remember is that the messages are being recorded with the proper relationships (replies list the correct parent), so when I can finally dump DamnTikiWiki, the conversations will be there in the database in proper relationship. What I do is generally invisible, but honest to god, I actually have a client who wants me to port my forum software to Linux so that we can use it on several projects. It's third in line now...

For the rest, well, sure I understand that no reply is not necessarily a snub. But in the same way that the TOC tree tells the tale of the conversation overall, an unreplied-to message next to a message to which I did reply (ER's) might tell the tale of a snub, as if I looked through you on my way to ER's post. This is a social medium, after all, so attention to primate social norms such as patterns of virtual "eye contact" matters.
