How easy it is to become accustomed, even jaded with unimaginable luxury and convenience! We have phones the size of a pack of cards that can connect to anyone on the planet from almost anywhere (never mind hook us up to the internet, take pictures and movies, play games and show films) and we bitch when they can't connect us from everywhere.
Good Lord, I still remember party lines and when long-distance calls were something for dire emergencies.
