"Republicans have done to them"
Interesting how the Democrats managed to file all their serial numbers off of "No Child Left Behind." Ted Kennedy helped write it. Passed the House 384 - 45, and the Senate 91 - 8. Now it's a "Republican" idea.
I would have voted against it. It was another step in the wrong direction, increasing the power of the Federal government over an education system that badly needs to be turned back over to states and localities.
Eri, our education system and bureaucracy has been under the almost absolute control of "progressive" educators, unions, colleges, and other entities for decades. If education isn't working, it isn't the fault of conservatives.
