I take it you can't imagine a case where the doctor and the ROW know that the plug should be pulled but the patient's family refuses to allow it, hanging on to any hope- for a long time, wasting resources.
You probably remember the Terri Schiavo case. Although it was a struggle between her family and her husband, for the sake of argument it wouldn't be too hard to replace the husband with a Medicare doctor.
For some reason Liberals turn a blind eye to the loss of freedoms over the last 30 years or so. The loses start with one little regulation and grow from there. Sorry you can't see it.
