Oh well, gee whiz

I read the chart but obviously, you didn't. Or rather you took out of it what you wanted to see. Look at 2009. We paid THEM. And for the other years, look at US and Non-US. What they paid us was paltry in comparison. In 2009 they paid zilch. Yet my taxes went to pay the IRS people who reviewed their tax returns and wrote the check to them.

And your comment about how much other people is a pathetic attempt at misdirection. A lot of taxpayers are below the poverty level and will pay little or nothing.

If a taxpayer who makes $40,000 a year pays a $2-3 thousand a year in taxes, I can assure you that hurts him or her a helluva lot more than the millions Exxon DOESN'T pay. Divide that 27.8 billion by the number of tax returns and it averages around $200 per tax return AND THOSE AVERAGES INCLUDE THE PEOPLE AT THE TOP. So somebody is not paying their share and it ain't me. I'm paying. Through the nose. While the rich assholes sail around the world on their yachts and make messes in our oceans for the rest of the world to deal with and pay taxes everywhere but here.
