You're right! Those wimps should just man up and GET A JOB! (I've always wanted to tell that to somebody!)
These guys are not bemoaning their fate. On the surface, they're tough, capable, take-charge go-getters, real type-A Alpha Male types. But deep down inside they're scared little boys crying, "That's not fair, I played by the rules."
People like this were definitely not leading the charge to "bring down the rich". They were the rich, and they had nothing but contempt for those who didn't have the right stuff like they did.
Well, better to curb the schadenfreude, I can see enough of myself in those men to be grateful I have escaped their fate, at least, so far. I just hope I can keep the humility to remember that if I did indeed escape their fate, it wasn't because I was smarter or tougher. Maybe it was because I was just luckier.
