Get SaTV, DirecTV is the best, and most expensive satv available. Dish is good too (my brother has it, he lives in Tulsa, and could get cable) But, you can get all the Science and Nature channels, Sci-Fi, toons and a whole lot more for less! than the outdated copper net.
We have all the good channels, and Starz, for less than $43 a month. The same package locally from cable would be in excess of $60. There are occasional outages, yes, but compared to the po' folk in town, less downtime than the local Cable provider.
Around here the DishTV providers have been advertising a deal, you get two recievers, dual LNB for $149.95, then they send you rebates when you sign up and keep programing for a year which is more than the cost of the system.
And trust me, you need two recievers!! It keeps the living room peaceful when you want to watch Discovery, Science, Nat Geographics or some such and your significant other wants to watch something else! (Trust me, I know)
