Point of clarification.
The fellow described himself as "trash". I agreed in a valiant attempt to help him feel validated. I used his term. I realize I shouldn't have, now, in hindsight, which is all one can see of some people.
Should I apologize for agreeing with him? Wouldn't that be sort of an insult?
If an apology is in order, how can I best to that so as to not hurt the poor fellows feelings, assuming he has them.
I'll be delighted to apologize providing it doesn't do more harm than good.
