<"Lefties" are the only folks trying to protect the middle class.

What an absolute crock of excrement. "Lefties" advocate ever larger government, which requires ever larger taxation. They're bleeding the middle class dry in order to buy the votes of those who don't pay taxes. Who but the "Lefties" not only argue against tax cuts in general but want to tax every dollar working people make again and again all through our lives, then take half of what we managed to accumulate (despite their best efforts) after we die.

There's also the strong anti-business attitude that so many on the Left show that's ultimately self defeating. If you cripple my boss's abiltiy to run a profitable business, then you may well cost me my job. So, unless the goal is for all working people to be employed by the government, attacking business is attacking the livelihood of those who actually work for a living. "Love me, love my boss."
