Larry, Larry, Larry.

Larry J. - "Lefties" advocate ever larger government, which requires ever larger taxation.

Who's expanding government (that's more and bigger government, like airport security, TIPS, Homeland Security bureaucracy, etc.)? At the expense of civil liberties? In ways not imagined since the Civil War (even WWII)? With the support of conservatives?

Now, who inherited a budget surplus? Who gave a tax cut to the wealthy? And who wants to borrow more money? And who is spending like that will never have to be paid back?

The Ds may be "tax and spend". The Rs are "tax and borrow". At least with the Ds the long-term interest rate went down, the economy boomed.

Look for the long-term interest rate to go up and the economy to head into the tank (farther) as soon as GWB can't borrow his way to prosperity, the way you could if you maxxed your credit cards. And guess who will still be blaming Bill Clinton when that happens? (That's a joke!! Really, GWB is blaming W. J. Clinton!!)

Please, please do yourself the favor of having something besides wishful thinking going for your ideas.
