40,000 MPs could easily stop the ILLEGAL traffic that's swamping our country. How our millitary can justify defending the borders of Kuwait, Bosnia, and many other countries, yet leave the borders of this country wide open to the invading begger armies from the South is beyond me. Just as the war on terror is a new kind of war, so to is this a new kind of invasion, but an invasion none the less. An invasion were the civilians are sent in ahead of the military instead of vice versa.

As far as the objections, I just don't see any. The Coast Guard is a branch of the Navy and defends our coastal border, so why can't the Border Guard be a branch of the Army? No heavy weapons would be needed, just a large well made chainlink fence with manned stations every several miles and patrolled by light scout vehicles.
