I hope you don't attack Christopher Reeves for the private healthcare that he is receiving. Most people with paralyzing injuries will never get anything near the healthcare he is receiving. Some might even say he is doing bad: by giving people false hope...Not everyone has a private thearapy pool and four or five personal OT's and PT's giving the latest in thearapy treatments...But if he can afford it, then he should get it. And it would be great if one day he were able to walk again.

I wish that Medicare could be modified so that it offered more flexibility to the elderly by involving competition in the system. As a Right Wing extremist I love the idea of vouchers!!! (I bet you’re surprised) The Medicare system is broken. Ask anybody in the healthcare field. But don't look for the Republicans to kill the program or even make needed changes, the Democrats would beat them over the head with the issue if they did: So the problems will get worse for a long time before they get better. Medicare helps many millions, but the helthcare that those millions are receiving is not the best that money can buy. And unfortunatly, it never will be.
