I looked into Sue Blevins a little. She apparently is very qualified to speak to the issue at hand, though I wouldn't say her publisher, the Cato Institute, is devoid of political viewpoint. But the agenda is right out there rather than concealed, so this helps.
With historiography in mind, I will try (very hard, but you understand I work about 50 hrs/wk and there's my family too) to find time to read it. After that, you can count on me to bring it up again.
