No . . .

The end does not justify the means, S-T1. It never has and it never shall. We are above this. We are better than this. We will not travel to Mars to collect lumber, and that is final.

On the other hand, should the band-wagon actually start rolling toward Mars, who would I be to say I'll catch the next one?

Someone once asked me over on MSNBC whether I thought Glenn did the right thing when he accepted the shuttle flight and gave up on the election funding probe he was assigned, just prior to his departure from the senate. I still say he did. He had his price and I really do think the entire nation knew exactly what that price was. It was no surprise. A return to orbit.

Well, mine price is a bit steeper. I'll continue to fight the cydonuts' ‘scientific’ point of view and their twisting of quotations so long as I am able -- or until you can give me a firm launch date for my rendezvous with Mars.
