Unfortunately, people are going to be a little dissappointed - they are almost certainly not trees or plants and have a rather simple geological explanation.
If people are willing to peer review an article that provides a both a composite inorganic model (with photos of each stage including the fluids invovled) and which can be extended to explain all the phlethora of features.....plus provides the counterpart organic and symbiotic models with supporting arguments for both please let me know.
The model proposed does not suggest any bizarre fluids that have not already been discussed. It does not require water to be a fluid for more than 5-10 minutes. And it explains why there is so little H2O and so much CO2 in Mars atmosphere. It also explains a lot of the problems with, and slots neatly into, the white Mars model.
Any takers?
