While reading that 1999 article by Sir Arthur I did a quick search on on this.

May apply, may not... just had to post it. *g*

The only thing I disagree with Sir Arthur on (that article) is "why not", why can't 'they' be humanoid too? Human eyes have seen galaxies of a similar type (Andromeda) and I'm sure there are plenty of species of flowers in Srilanka as there are galaxies.
