That people would take the mutterings of an old man and twist the facts for profit is simply sick.
Sir ACC was a noted physicist in his day, as well as a noted sci-fi author. Today, he is merely an old man living within a frail, failing body, one terminally confined to a wheelchair. Though his mind has never stopped, he does fail to realize that where he made his turn to fiction and a better world of pure discovery and miraculous technological advance, the world did not. Reality is no longer his comrade. His dreams for immortality will not be known, and this scares the hell out of him.
They ought to just leave him be in peace -- but the tabloids and hoaxters are the bane of fame,
