Is he good-looking as well as intelligent? They kinda go together with the Phils.

I recall that Chapman finally reached the point where he realized that NASA's manned space flight program was counter productive and inhibiting real space exploration (read robotic planetary missions. He proposed the ballsy but politicically infeasible solution to mothball the shuttle, cancel ISS and use the bucks to re-design a new Earth to LEO capability that was lower cost and aimed at real access to space for industrialization and exploration. Wish it were feasible politically. The real world result would be that the buck go to another voting boloc on the public teat.

I'd nominate him as my replacement for Goldin if I were POTUS.

-philw (hell, I'd nominate half this bbs instrada Goldin, the liar)
