Re: Warning of Confusion Over Creationism . . .

A few points:

"Intelligent Design" is creationism in disguise. This is no different than socialism sneaking into polite society wearing a name card that says "progressive." No one is kidding anybody. ID falls flat logically, as any kid could tell you, since by its premise something as complex as the Intelligent Designer must have had an intelligent designer. And so on, and so on, down to the Last Visible God.*

My opinion on allowing creationists to teach biology is the same on allowing Marxists to teach government.

Larry is right about the misinterpretation of the term "theory." Most creationists are not scientists, so this usually goes over their heads. Most creationists talk about evolution like it's just some random opinion.

Bush may believe in creationism, but he has no business trying to get it into schools.

Yet another point in favor of getting schools out of government hands so our kid's educations are not dictated across the nation by the latest and loudest pressure group.

*Twenty points to anyone who gets this obscure pun on an obscure reference.
