Recently KC took great offense when I suggested that his on personal biases occasionaly entered into his reporting. Here is a potential case. http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewpr.html?pid=7978 . Absolutely no mention of the Mars Society's part in the Houghton Mars project seems really ridiculous to me. The project is staffed by many people who volunteer through the Mars Society. The hab project was Lee's idea but funded by the Mars Society. The idea for a greenhouse there has been supported and pursued by many within it. Spaceref has previously listed many articles on the project. I usually skipped them as I had already read similar articles elsewhere. Have they always ihnored the participation of the Mars Society? I can only wonder if the digfferences between spaceref's officers and Zubrin have grown into a major feud.
Any potential feud beteen Keith C and Mark B of spaceref with Zubrin should not lead to ignoring a major participant. Mark left the Mars Society's board after airing legitimate criticisms which Zubrin basically ignored, but I really thought Mark was far less likely to hold grudges than Zubrin or Cowing. I am most dissapointed.
On a positive note I think Mark and Keith certainly deserve Kudos for this contribution. I think it has a lot of potential to generate useful research.

Mark
