SETI searches for life both intelligent and non. Neither of which seems closely relevant to putting humans on Mars. HMP has obvious potential astrobiology and therefore SETI links. A greenhouse for human settlers is not an obvious link to their mandate. It is an obvious link to the MS mandate. The choice of project linkages in the face of an obvious mismatch in combination with issues you know I am well aware of suggest an anything but MS attitude. It was a guess and which I knew might be wrong, but your replies seemed evasive rather than a straight forward no issue response. The "you don't know what SETI" is about reply comes across as evasion because human exploration is not a publicized top SETI priority.

MB's reply was more informative. You wanted more control so you went with a group that would give it to you. Simple, clear, and believable. My guess was wrong.
