"Many, certainly not all, supporters of GW have a political agenda."
Regarding the political agenda of those who see global warming as being influenced by Man. Probably impossible to avoid the accusation whether true or not.
Let's assume the most noble, dispassionate, objective researcher found evidence of Man contributing to global warming. Publishes. Data. Conclusions. Period.
The mass media picks it up. Explains the implications.
There are stories about Florida flooding (it's too late - should have happened prior to 11-00), New York too, and all kinds of disasters.
The politicians are charged with preventing the problems. They develop emissions controls, various other plans. There are massive programs developed to stop Man's part in the process.
And the poor guy who published the data is accused of having an agenda.
Anyone who finds evidence of Man's hand in global warming will be accused of having an agenda simply because of the implications of the problem.
But how you consistently see that everyone is trying to slit the throat of the US is beyond me. The US has the worlds biggest economy, army, air force, and so on. If they have been trying, it ain't working. We've never had it better.
