I reject making very expensive public policy on psuedoscience. It makes for bad law and rich quacks and even richer lawyers. As an example, of the billions spend on the well intentioned Super Fund cleanup law, over half went to attorney fees.
Unvalidated computer models are little more than pseudoscience. Try reading some actual science to learn how it is done. It's almost always a slow and methodical process in pursuit of the truth. Rushing things, especially in the name of political dogma, almost always results in bad science and even worse law.
