Re: Goofy

<“In 2001 the National Science Foundation surveyed 1,500 people nationwide and found that 77% believed that "increased carbon dioxide and other gases released into the atmosphere will, if unchecked, lead to global warming ..." Yet half of those polled believed that humans and dinosaurs co-existed on Earth, despite the scientific fact that the dinosaurs went extinct tens of millions of years before the earliest hominids appeared. Worse, only 22% of the respondents understood what a molecule - for example, carbon dioxide - is.”

I would be extremely interested in the results of a similar survey applied to Senators, congressmen, and government bureaucrats, the ones who get to make the science rules.

And probably most of those folks voted for GWB and Cheney. (Figuring that the more ignorant would tend to vote that way. Not a ditch I'd die in, but a lot of them undoubtedly did vote R.) Goofy.

Good thing this isn't a ditch you want to die in. After the Florida fiasco, in which thousands of Democratic voters allegedly fell afoul of a voting system that third graders easily mastered, you've got a lot of nerve portraying the Republican Party as the haven of dimbulb voters.
