I believe it's fair to state that global warming is real phenomenon accepted by a wide spectrum of the scientific community.
I direct your attention to recent news reports concerning researcher's studies of the North Atlantic Conveyor - the Gulf Stream.
Since the dynamics of past episodes of apparently rapid climatic change on Earth are poorly understood, I believe it is irresponsible to characterize as "alarmists" those who urge caution in the face of mounting, indisputable evidence that the Earth is warming significantly.
