Tom, when Sam cited "The Hot Sheet" to back up his assertions about Planet X, you said "consider the source". When anomalists cite Hoagland, you say "consider the source".

So why do you trot out these opinion pieces written by paid lobbyists to attack the reality of global warming? From their history page:

The National Center for Public Policy Research is a communications and research foundation dedicated to providing free market solutions to today's public policy problems. We believe that the principles of a free market, individual liberty and personal responsibility provide the greatest hope for meeting the challenges facing America in the 21st century.

This isn't a scientific laboratory, their staff are not scientists, and their opinions carry zero weight in any scientific debate. They have an ideological axe to grind, and their mission is to shoehorn anything and everything into the narrow confines of their ideology. The author's bio reveals him to be a political science major--a paid political hack.

Trying to get traction on the residual disagreement in the scientific community about the causes of global warming reminds me very much of anomalists grasping at trivial disagreements among real space scientists to bolster their claims.

If anything, you've just demonstrated the intellectual bankruptcy of Rightist denial of global warming.
