Redundancy. Like, "Snob, and proud of it." Actually, isn't proud of it part of being a snob? :-)
Using "actually". "How much are the yams?" "Actually, they are 99 cents a pound." "Where did you find those hinges?" "Actually, I found them at Home Depot." "What are your plans for this agency." "Well, actually, we intend to offer services to the needy, indigent, and people who, like, can't afford them, you know what I mean?"
"You know what I mean?" I'm not going to explain that, folks should aware, know what I mean?
"Where are you at?" Even more egregious, "Where are you located at."
Maybe not completely related, but the well-known football broadcaster who attributes events to what a player says. After a tackle. "Bruiser said you weren't going to go through here, this is my house, you come calling you're gonna get greeted with a shoulder and a helmet!" After a pass interception. "Knuckles just said that if you try a trap pass into my territory you are going to get it taken away." Well, I didn't hear either of them.
Using "why" to avoid responsibility, when making a statement instead of caring about causation. "Why did you cut in front of that old lady?" instead of "You almost hit that woman!" "Why didn't you pick up bacon while you were at the store?" instead of "I wish you had picked up bacon." "Why do you always try to be the fastest person on the freeway?" instead of "I get nervous and tense driving that fast."
Actually there are more, but like I said I've got to get moving. Have breakfast with friends, you know what I mean?
